Journey back to fin de siècle France with a range revelling in the organic and sensuous curves of the Art Nouveau era. Women and nature were at the heart of this period of design, it was a moment before the mass production of jewellery, when Paris was the centre of the universe, and the absinthe was flowing. Our collection of “Cynara” captures the sensual take on nature typical of Art Nouveau. This was the jewellery worn by the Demimonde, actresses like Sara Bernhardt, who was famous for her Art Nouveau jewels. The designs often incorporated organic shapes which gave Art Nouveau its signature curvaceousness.
